Use emojies in your snapshots-name 🗻🤠🚵‍♀️🫵🎃

Welcome to my first blog post! I thought it would be fun to start with something funny that I discovered at VMware Explorer 2023: you can actually add emojis to your snapshot names! While it may seem completely pointless, I think it could add a touch of humor to your lab work. Who wouldn't enjoy a snapshot labeled with a laughing face or a rocket emoji? It’s a quirky little feature that could bring a smile to your day!

Select the virtual machine for which you want to create a snapshot. Next, open the Snapshot Management menu and click on "Take Snapshot."

When prompted to enter a name, press Windows key + . (period) to open the emoji panel in Microsoft Windows. From there, feel free to choose any emoji you like!
